In Memory of a Hero: LCpl James Brynin

One year ago today a young soldier lost his life in Afghanistan. His name LCpl James Brynin.

Prior to deploying he'd seen a T.V.. broadcast depicting Hounds For Heroes and decided that at some point he'd like to fundraise for the charity. His family have over the last year honoured his wishes by raising funds for us in various ways and means, and have publicised the charity whilst dealing with their own grief.

As a charity we are extremely grateful and proud of them, their family and friends. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. James inspired many people and it is testament to his popularity that an amazing £63,000 has been raised in his name, and this isn't the final count - there are still the funds raised from the "To The Bitter End" challenge to be added. To put that in perspective the amount raised would fully fund 3 dogs for their entire working lives. We will be discussing the use of the funds with the family over the coming weeks.

As the year draws to a close our thoughts you Sharon and Efrem and with your family at what will undoubtedly be a difficult time for you. Again thank you, and God bless you.
