Amanda was admitted as a solicitor by the Law Society of England and Wales in 1996. She retired from the Army as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2017, after 17 years service in Army Legal Services. She now lives near Bath and, as a non-practising solicitor, works in Business Banking for HSBC. In addition to her general legal knowledge, she brings to the charity experience of risk management. Amanda is the daughter of a retired police officer and her sister is a serving police officer, so she has an affinity with both the armed forces and the emergency services.
