RAF Cranwell ‘Challenge for Charity’
Hounds for Heroes would like to say a massive thank you to D Squadron from RAF Cranwell, who held an extremely successful fundraising event titled ‘RAF Challenge for Charity’ on 12th June and chose our charity to be the sole beneficiary.
The event consisted of large-scale gym activity challenges, where various flights of D Squadron (around 20 people per Flight) attended the gym throughout the day to squat the combined weight of a C-17 transport aircraft (128,100 kg) and cycle the distance between RAF Brize Norton and RAF Lossiemouth (558 miles). All of this hard work and dedication definitely paid off, as they managed to raise an incredible £1,150!
We would like to thank D Squadron once again for choosing to support Hounds for Heroes, as this donation will have a tremendous impact on our ability to provide specially trained assistance dogs to injured and disabled men and women of both the UK Armed Forces and Emergency Services to create life-enhancing partnerships. #TogetherWeCan
