Due to the current Coronovavirus (COVID-19) situation, we are not accepting any new applications from volunteers for the foreseeable future (including prospective puppy parents and weekend B&B homes). We will be constantly reviewing the situation and following the latest government guidance. Please revisit this page for further updates.
Hounds for Heroes depends on the help provided by volunteers to enable us to deliver assistance to injured Armed Services and Emergency Services personnel. With your help we can make a profound difference to the well-being of those who deserve our help.
What can our volunteers do?
Volunteers can help Hounds for Heroes in many ways, such as:
- Help us look after our puppies and dogs while they are being trained by being a Puppy Parent or providing a Foster Home.
- Hold a fundraising event or help us at an event attended by the Charity.
- Help us with the administration of the Charity at our HQ in Petersfield.
Join the team – together we can!
Help us at an event
We are invited to attend many events which are marvellous occasions for us to raise awareness of the aims of Hounds for Heroes as well as providing the opportunity to do some fundraising. If you would like to help us, for instance, by manning a stand, helping us sell merchandise or giving a short talk to WI groups, businesses, schools etc. then we would like to hear from you. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Help us with the administration
We are a small Charity and we can often do with help at our Headquarters in Petersfield. If you live nearby and have some time and could help us, for instance, with making teas on our open days or doing some data entry to keep all our “dog-logs” up to date then we would like to hear from you.
