Not everyone’s workday includes ukuleles and table tennis, but here at the Hounds for Heroes training centre, it’s just another day of training! 

All our Hounds for Heroes dogs receive a phenomenal amount of socialisation and habituation in their assistance dog training in order to ready them for life with their future Partners.

Dog trainer Alison and Cadet Alice have been prepping for Alice’s future partner, who loves playing both ukuleles and table tennis. Alison has been spending some time getting Alice used to the sounds of these activities, to ensure she stays calm and comfortable when accompanying her future Partners to clubs.

Thanks to Alison's special training, and some amazing socialisation from her Puppy Parents Alice is a pro at staying calm amidst the fun. 

We can't promise the rest of the staff enjoyed the serenades much as Alice did though!
