We are currently recruiting a Dog Trainer!
The Training Department covers puppy training, advanced dog training and Partnership aftercare visits. The advertised role focuses on our puppies and adolescent dogs. Experience of working, volunteering or training dogs of this age would therefore be an advantage. As a member of a small team, the successful candidate will need to be flexible and prepared to undertake any tasks necessary for the smooth running of the department.
All our dog training is based at our Headquarters in Ramsdean, Petersfield but training off-site is also undertaken on a daily basis. Our puppies are cared for by volunteer Puppy Parents under the guidance of a trainer. During this period, they have regular one-to-one training sessions and puppy classes. When ready, the puppies move onto more advanced levels of training where they learn client-specific tasks. Once matched and placed the partnerships are supported with regular aftercare visits.
