Thank you so much for your interest in supporting Hounds for Heroes as a Part-Time Fosterer. We truly appreciate your willingness to get involved and help our mission. However, due to our current resources and the high volume of applications, we are unable to process new applications for Part-Time Fosters at this time. Our current priority is onboarding and processing Full-Time Puppy Parents and Fosterers, who play a critical role in helping us care for our puppies and dogs in training.

If you’ve already applied, rest assured that we’ll reach out as soon as we have the capacity to consider your application. In the meantime, if you’re still passionate about supporting our cause, we’d love to discuss the possibility of you joining our team as a Full-Time Puppy Parent or Full-Time Fosterer. We have an amazing dedicated team of dog trainers working tirelessly to ensure the best for our dogs and volunteers, and we’d be thrilled to have your support in a more involved capacity. Thank you again for your understanding and support!

How our current Part-Time Fosterers support us:

There are times when we may need some short-term cover for our puppies and dogs. It could be a Puppy Parent or full-time fosterer is going on holiday or attending an event that is not suitable for a dog. Sometimes we would like our dogs to experience a different lifestyle, like living with another dog in the house or with children.

In these situations, we would use one of our part time volunteers. We still expect their basic training to continue but it is not necessary to attend classes.

Holiday cover could be anything from the odd day here and there to weekend breaks up to a maximum of up to 4 weeks cover. To find out more about the stages of training click here.
